Bandipur, once a hunting reserve of the Mysore Maharajas, became one of India's first Project Tiger reserves in 1973. It is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. Issued in 1978, this tiger pugmark is one of Karnataka's oldest PPCs.
