Badami PPC
MonumentBadami, the ancient Vatapi, was the Chalukya capital from the mid-6th century. Four cave temples are cut into its red sandstone cliffs above Agastya lake. Cave 1 holds the famous Nataraja with eighteen arms, the figure shown on this cancellation.
